“Unimaginable”, Korina Sanchez Roxas reacted to guest Lani Misalucha saying she might just stop singing altogether after her bout with meningitis. Meningitis is caused by a bacteria that causes the brain to swell, and which resulted in the loss of hearing in Lani’s one ear.

“Pareho kami ng asawa kong nagkasakit and pareho kaming bingi na ngayon sa isang tenga. Hindi ko naririnig nang maayos ang sarili ko at music. Sintunado na pala ako, di ko pa alam”, confessed the teary eyed singer who is called Asia’s Nitingale.

Lani Misalucha left the Philippines decades ago at the height of her career here and migrated to Las Vegas. Pero hindi parin napigilan ang galing ng singer at hinabol parin si Lani sa Amerika ng tagumpay.
